An "Adobe & Agave" welcome reception, sunset at the Desert Museum, falconry, and a farewell dinner under some of the darkest skies in the country. Here's everything beyond the conference room.
Adding a social guest or optional tour? Register yourself first, then email karen@amsmic.org and we'll send an updated invoice. Guests and tours can be added any time before the registration deadline.
- Social guest +$680: welcome reception, breakfasts, Desert Museum, falconry, farewell dinner, and the guest program (history tour, yoga, tai chi)
- Optional tours: Sabino Canyon hike or tram (~$60) · Sound bath (~$40) · Jeep desert eco-tour ($140, min. 15)
Guide gratuities aren't included in optional tour prices and are at your discretion.

Arriving early or staying on?
Tucson's high desert puts an incredible range of day trips within reach:
- Biosphere 2: the famous 3-acre sealed research campus (~45 min)
- Tombstone: the Old West and the O.K. Corral (~1.5 hrs); pair it with Kartchner Caverns or Sonoita wine country
- Kartchner Caverns: one of the world's most pristine "live" caves (~1 hr)
- Saguaro National Park: hike among the largest cacti in the U.S. (~30–40 min)
- Mission San Xavier del Bac: an 18th-century Spanish mission near the airport (~30 min)
- Pima Air & Space Museum: nearly 400 aircraft (~30 min)
- Titan Missile Museum: the only Cold War ICBM site open to the public (~45 min)
- Kitt Peak National Observatory: daytime tours (~1 hr)
- Colossal Cave Mountain Park: cave tours, a historic ranch, and trails (~30 min)
- Old Tucson: a Western film set turned theme park
