The Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, seeks applicants with an outstanding research program in the area of Translational Virology. Areas of interest include but are not limited to: viral oncology, HIV/AIDS, gene therapy, emerging viral pathogens and zoonoses. Applicants will be expected to establish their research program in the outstanding environment of our disease-focused Centers, particularly the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Center for AIDS Research. Applicants should have a Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent, and should be able to effectively contribute to both the research and the teaching missions of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology. Quality research facilities, start-up funds, and salary support will be provided commensurate with the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.
