Tenure-Track Bacteriology Faculty Position

The Department of Microbiology at the University of Iowa invites applications for two tenure-track faculty positions in bacteriology: one at the Assistant Professor level, and one at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Each of these tenure-track positions includes a 12-month salary, benefits, competitive start-up package, and modern laboratory facilities. All applicants must have a Ph.D., M.D., or D.V.M.; postdoctoral research experience; and a strong record of research accomplishments. Successful applicants are expected to establish and maintain an extramurally funded research program. All applicants will be expected to participate in departmental teaching activities. Applicants at the Associate Professor level should already have an established and funded research program and be able to show evidence of the ability to teach at graduate and undergraduate levels.
