The Department of Biomedical Sciences, Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine, Marshall University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the level of ASSISTANT or ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR in the area of medical immunology.

Applicants must have a PhD, MD or equivalent degree and at least two years of postdoctoral experience. We are particularly interested in applicants whose research focuses on cancer immunobiology or a related field. We especially encourage applications from candidates who use new genetic tumor models and/or utilize modern imaging, genomic, epigenetic, or systems biology approaches to understand the function of the immune system and the interactions of the immune system with cancer. The successful candidate will be expected to develop/maintain an extramurally funded research program, teach medical students, participate in the interdisciplinary Biomedical Sciences graduate program and contribute to the service activities of the department, the School of Medicine and the university. Candidates must also possess excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills.
