Tenure-Track Faculty Position

The Center for Women’s Infectious Disease Research (cWIDR, http://cwidr.wustl.edu/) invites applicants for a TENURE-TRACK faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the Department of Molecular Microbiology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. We are seeking applicants in any area of microbiology who are motivated to create a high impact research program in microbial pathogenesis focused on infectious diseases relevant to women, and to engage in interdisciplinary, collaborative research. Previous experience in women’s health research is not a prerequisite and we especially encourage applicants with bold new perspectives. We welcome applications from members of groups that are typically under-represented in science. The successful applicant will occupy space in cWIDR’s state-of-the-art laboratories located in the recently constructed BJC Institute of Health Building. Washington University offers an intellectually exciting, collegial, supportive environment with robust graduate and post-doctoral programs and extensive opportunities for interdepartmental collaboration.
